The Baby born with Heart outside the body has passed away

A child borned with his heart outside the body i.e. on the chest at BP Koirala Health and Science Institute Dharan has been passed away during the heart surgery. Sergery of heart of the baby is not possible at the BP Koirala Hospital Dharan and refered to the Shahid Gangalal Heart Disease Centre and being Sergery to insert the heart inside the body.

The baby took birth from Shurti Karki (Dahal) of Baniyani - 4, Jhapa with heart outside the body (ectopia cordice). The heart of baby was outside but all the body parts are moving normally, said Dr. Shailaja Shrestha. This is the first case in Nepal and 91 cases in the World till now.
