The country is adversely affected by the three day strike called by alliance of 30-opposition parties. The first day of the three day strike saw various cases of clashes and vandalism. The strike enforcers torched a taxi Ba 1 Ja 1877 at Balukumari in Koteshwor and a motorcycle Ba 66 Pa 7206 was set on fire at Bijulibazaar. Private vehicles are vandalised by the strike enforcers today in the country.
To settle down the situation the police fired tear gas to discourage the activists. The police even arrested Maoist leaders - Himal Sharma, Renu Dahal, Surendra Basnet and many others for vandalising in the first day. The people in the country are affected by strike called today. Students studying colleges and schools are also affected. They could not go college today due to strike.
