The scheduled hearing of Nepal Police DSP Jagadish Chand involved in the murder of media entrepreneur Jamim Shah could not take place due to time constraint although he wAs presented before the District Court Kathmandu on Sunday.
Chand, 46, a permanent resident of Dasharathchand Municipality of Baitadi district was arrested last night from Baneshwor by a team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division.
The Crime Division handed over Chand to the Metropolitan POlice Range, Kathmandu after which he was presented at the court.
Jamim Shah, proprietor of the Space Times daily, was shot dead on February 7, 2010 in front of the French Embassy while returning home at Pani Pokhari from Hotel Yak and Yeti's Health Club on a Mitsubishi P@jero by two persons riding a Motorbike.
