A 25-year-old man murdered his landlady at Naram VDC in the district on Sunday.
One Jhabilal Gaha killed his landlady Rimkala Gaha Magar, 45, of Naram-9 by slitting her throat, said police. The accused slit the victim’s throat with a sickle in the animal shed on Sunday evening. Preliminary police investigation shows that the incident took place as the victim returned after grazing cattle in the nearby forest.
The perpetrator, who is a distant relative of the victim, had been staying at her house for the past few months. He use to also run a shop at her house.
The villagers informed the police after they found Rimkala lying in a pool of blood next to her shed with her throat slit. A police team led by Inspector Hari Baruwal sealed the main entry point of the village and nabbed the perpetrator on Sunday night.
During the police interrogation, Jhabilal, who was arrested with the clothes stained with blood, admitted of killing his landlady. The body was taken to Dumkauli Health Post for postmortem.RSS
