Two persons died and at least ten others sustained injuries over a brawl regarding an election of the school management committee at Sabaila in Dhanusha district on Sunday.
The dispute between two factions of the management committee at Madan Aashrit Lower Secondary School turned violent, claiming the lives of Rameshower Raut, 40, and Ram Prakash Yadav of the same age. The attendees were discussing impending election of the management committee where a group of 30 cadres, affiliated to CPN-UML, at once interrupted the discussion, resulting in a clash.
