Police on Friday made public Jeevan BK who was detained on charge of throwing acid on two teenage girls at Jonchhe, Basantapur in the Capital on February 22, amid a press conference at the Metropolitan Police Commissioner’s Office, Ranipokhari.. AIG Bigyan Raj Sharma, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Commission, Ranipokhari, had given the detail about the accident and the convict. BK who hailed from Ramechhap and currently residing in the Capital confessed the crime.
During the conference, AIG Sharma said that BK, a BBS first year student, was in love with Sangita Magar from Khaniyapani of Ramechhap. He had fallen in love with Sangita when he used to tutor her. When her brother Santosh Magar knew about their relationship. Later, Magar’s parents called Sangita and BK and warned him not to be in touch with their daughter. They also warned of filing a complaint against him with police if he continued the relationship.
