An Bulgarian Citizen Petroslav Robber Using Visa Card from the ATM




March 25, Kathmandu

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police nabbed a Bulgarian for his alleged involvement in siphoning off cash from different ATMs in the capital city.

At a press meet, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police Hemanta Malla said that Bulgarian national Petroslav Ristove, 42, was arrested with more than Rs 12 million that was illegally withdrawn from ATM lounges of different banks in Thamel and Durbargmarg by using ATM cards including VISA Cards of other persons.

DIG Malla said that the Bulgarian national was attempting to take the money to his home country by exchanging the cash in Euro and US Dollars. He was arrested with Rs 1.8 million, 57,000 Euro and 40,000 US Dollars along with a laptop, three mobile phones and many Master Cards including other materials.

On the occasion, DIG Malla suggested that the pin number of the ATM, Visa Cards should be changed time to time and the depositors should take information about their bank accounts.

Likewise, Malla said that Sanjya Ismaily, the mastermind in the murder case of Supreme Court’s then Justice Rana Bahadur Bom, was arrested from Saudi Arabia. RSS
