Update Report: Cops nab man accused of raping 7-year-old girl

A 7-year-old girl raped by a man and left unconscious in Bara district. The man involved in rape was later arrested by local police. He has agreed that he raped girland also said that he was drunk which led this incident to happened.

Recently the country has witnessed most number of rapes since three months. According to the Police Headquarters, out of 30 rape cases throughout the county, 10 were reported in Kathmandu Valley, Subash Gotame has reported for Annapurna Post on Sunday. Three cases of rape, two of them on minors were reported in Kathmandu in past three days. According to the Police, after Kathmandu, most of the rape cases were reported in Eastern Development Region which witnessed 9 cases and least in Far Western Development Region with 1 case reported. Although the Police record states 30 rape cases, according to the organisations involved in women’s rights and news covered by media more than 50 rapes occurred throughout the nation.
