Here is an incredibly heartbreaking footage shot by Chandra Mandil Yogal, Public Health Manager, Department of Community Programs, Dhulikhel Hospital. Chandra along with a team of five from Dhulikhel Hospital left yesterday morning for Hindi Health Center for damage assessment and possibility of restoring clinical services and other activities run through this center. This center established in Nov 2011 is a satellite clinic of Dhulikhel Hospital and had collapsed completely due to the earthquake of 25th April.
The earthquake of 12:50 pm yesterday set off a massive landslide. "We were caught unawares, the mountain fells and it was dark with dust. We walked for hours to find a place where we could get mobile signal and called Dhulikhel Hospital." says Chandra who was airlifted to safety yesterday. The rest of the team were brought safely in the helicopter today. Another strong earthquake hit in Nepal killing over 70 people and injured over 1000, causing widespread panic and casualties just over two weeks after a devastating tremor killed more than 8,000 people, injured 18,000 and destroyed hundreds of thousands of homes.
