Flood Affected People Celebrate of Maghi at Campaign Under Tent

The host talks about the celebration of Maghi festival among the Tharu Community. Maghi is a festival of great importance and is a new year for the Tharu people.

They celebrate it with great fun and taking blessings from their elders. Mostly the Tharu people are in the western terai part of the Country i.e. Dang, Banke Bardiya, Kailali and Kanchanpur. The Tharu people living in Bardiya were highly affected due to flood this year. They don’t even have sufficient items to celebrate Maghi. The Tharu people are highly suffering from lack of basic requirements. Concerning with their misery, the program had led a campaign to make a proper facility for celebration of Maghi by providing sufficient food items. The Tharu people living in a tent in Gulariya were given sufficient food items for celebration of Maghi.
